Halogen Oven

Post  ragdoll on 11.01.12 17:37

Hi, I'm new to the site, haven't bought a Halogen Oven as yet but would dearly love to.
Can anyone suggest the best one to get?
How do I cook ready meals (as no instructions on box for Halogen Ovens) ?
And can I cook everything I would use my oven for ?
Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you-whoever you are Surprised)

Hi Ragdoll
Check out the reviews on Amazon or similar web pages. There are some that offer a 3 year guarantee for £9.99 and that is well worth having.
Ready meals are ok as long as they can be oven cooked - not microwave only as the dishes would melt. Use fan oven times but reduce the temperature by 10-20C.
You can use any oven dish that you can use in your 'big' oven in your HO.

Thank you for the information Junie....I'm still having trouble with this site let alone an oven !! I've never been on anything like this before and I'm still feeling my feet.
I've watched a lot of programmes for the oven but I just wish they would make a beginners handbook, sort of a step by step for dummies !! they make it look so easy.

Even with a "step by step for dummies" or "idiot's guides" you will still need to ask certain questions once you start to cook various food.

You know where we are if you need help later on.
