Heat from the Halogen Oven

Myself and my husband received a JML Halogen Oven for Christmas and we are both concerned about the heat it generates and the effect this may have on the kithen surface. Is it recommended to put the oven on a specific surface to protect the kitchen and if so what is recommended.

Hi Michelle

I have a JML also and I keep it on my kitchen countertops. The glass bowl gets hot during cooking but it doesn't sit directly on your countertop. It rests on a plastic base and that doesn't get hot.

If you are concerned about this, you can place your halogen oven on a silicone mat for peace of mind. Here's a a picture/link below to give you an idea . . .
