i made great chips

Post  moya on 05.11.11 18:52

hi everyone, i just got my ho a few hours ago. it's a cookworks from argos. i've made chips and was really pleased with the results. i'm a slimming world member. i'm not over weight but could lose half a stone. i'm interested in cooking healthier food and using less oil and fats. so i made the chips the slimming world way only i didn't boil them first. i sprayed them with fry light and turned them every 5 mins or so. also used the high rack and put them in a tin that i would use if baking sandwich sponge cake.its a lot lower than a tradition sponge cake tin. the results were great. the kids really liked them. looking forward to trying recipes on here. the instructions are basic for this ho and i was wondering how do i defrost with it.

Thank you for sharing your HO cooking success with us.

I hope other users will be able to tell us how to defrost food in the Argos Cookworks Halogen Oven.

On some ovens both the thaw and wash functions shared one button. If you don't have this button you can wash the bowl by using a low temperature setting.

But how to defrost/thaw food ?

Welcome Moya

Use the lowest heat setting possible if you don't have a defrost setting. I usually give the food 15 minutes on defrost, let it rest then give it the same again if needed for larger items. Hope this helps.
