cleaning my cookworks signature Halogen Oven

Post  bluekerry on 27.10.11 18:28

Hi There I am a first time user of a Halogen and a first time on this forum. I have a good understanding of the workings and I am practising well. My oven manual do not say anything about cleaning glass bowl other than wash out in sink. I have seen many ovens which you put water and detergent in the bowl and switch on to clean. I thought all ovens had this as standard. My manual do not mention washing glass bowl this way does this mean I cannot clean this way. Many thanks awaiting advice.

Hi Bluekerry,

My JML has one button for 2 functions. The THAW button is also the WASH button. Try using the thaw/defrost button, may be that will work for you. Depending on how dirty the bowl is, 5 to 10 minutes should do the job.

Someone else on this forum didn't have the wash function they just set it on a low temperature when washing the bowl.

Hope this helps

Hi SooZy
Just a couple of inches of lukewarm water after the bowl has cooled and a small scoosh of washing up liquid.
