Setting the temperature

Post  carolann on 31.12.09 18:26

In my operating Instruction manual it states " A cooking time of between 125 and 250 mins can be set using the time setting dial no 10" on my temperature dial on my Halogen cooker.

Does anyone know how to do this as the instruction is not very clear

Hi Carol,

I have also been doing some "digging" trying to get the relevant details. My first thought was to try to obtain a copy of the manual. Normally thats not too difficult, however, with the Halogen Ovens, this is often not so straight forward.

Do you have a scanner? If so, could you email it to me? If you can, I will have a look and see if I can work out what on earth it means for you.

If you can email it, the address is hor@johnwindebank.co.uk. I will look into it for you.

Of course, if someone else has the same machine, they may be able to help.

All the best

Hi Carol,

Thanks for emailing that page over.

This is a mis-print in the book as the section this is under is for temperatures, and comparing it to my own HO, the dials are identical (although laid out differently) and it should say "A cooking TEMPERATURE of between 125 and 250 Celsius can be set using dial (10)".

Having seen the page, thanks for emailing it to me, it is obvious that this is how it should read. I have a feeling most HO's except for digital ones, only go up to 60 minutes.

Hope this helps, and sorry to disapoint you. I thought it funny when you said temperature dial to set time originally, but needed to see it to confirm it.

Happy cooking - I just made a fruit cake and its lovely mmm.
