Welcome janryan44

The easiest way is to wrap them in foil parcels with a little liquid. Be aware that they take longer than you would think in the HO.
To see all prevous posts on the subject type 'steam' into the search box on the top left of the page.

Hola. I'm Rosie. I haven't got a HO yet. But a friend has, and I'm seriously impressed with it. Which is why I'm here on this site; I want as much info as possible before I part with my hoarded coins. Several of my friends have questions too. Such as,'Can you fry an egg in the HO.?' I'm going to look through the posts on this site, as I'm sure the info I need will be there somewhere, but if anyone has a super duper tip, please tell me. Hello and Welcome

Hola. This is such a useful site You're all so enthusiastic, and I love the sharing of info.I'm now absolutely convinced that a halogen cooker is the way forward. I want one badly! So; which to buy? Can some of you lovely people out there give me a nudge in the right direction please? Best size, most reliable, most popular, quietest fan, stuff like that would be invaluable. Thank you in advance, Rosie. Shocked

Hi Rosie,
To answer some of your questions one would need to use a few to compare but I can tell you that the best size is the biggest one, 12 litre.

I hope you find this post useful http://halogenovenrecipes.forumotion.com/t1104-my-halogen-oven-search#4169

Re: Another Newbie

Post  Rosie Petch on 15.10.11 20:38

Hola. I've got one! Well not quite yet. My lovely daughter Joy has bought me one for Christmas in advance. (We do things like that for each other. We'd rather buy something we know the other wants, than just boring chocs! ) It's a Prolex, not sure about that make, but I'll find out and let you all know. It's 12 litre extending to 17 litre ! Priced at £29.99 in my local B.M store. She's paid up front for it, and it should be here in the next couple of days. I took your advice on this Reeta, also the advice of my good friend Brian. Both of you said get a big HO 12 litre being the best. So as soon as I get it, I'll let all of you know what you think. I can't wait! I miss baking so much, but honestly can't justify the cost of a big oven whirring away when I now live alone. As soon as I get my HO, I'm making a batch of cheese scones. Just for me. I'll let you know how they turn out. thanks for your help. Happy cooking folks. xx
