Something's cooking in my kitchen!

Post  plasmafire on 30.08.11 18:41

Hi Just bought a small Prolectrix 7l HO today to see how we do with it (just the 2 of us). £23.95 from makro.

Great to find this forum with all the helpful advice and ideas.

I have dived right in and am doing a bolognese sauce from the cookbook.

Lots of light and bubbling going on Shocked , will let you know how it turns out! Eating

Hi

Thanks for the welcome, Cheers!

The bol sauce worked well although I snuck a bit of finely diced carrot in there which was cooked but not soft - I like to hide extra veg in meals like that. Family is completely unaware they get all kinds of courgettes and what have you hidden away Laughing . I browned the onions first as the recipe said so I will start the carrots off that way next time.

I did sausages on the top rack with mushrooms and tomatoes on the bottom rack in a little foil 'boat' for brunch today - the whole thing about 25 mins at 230 degrees, including the warm up.
