New ho and struggling!
Hi I've just joined your forum as I've been really struggling since buying my oven a week ago. My intention when I bought it was to cut down on my electricity usage, bake the odd cake and do a roast for 2 rather than put my normal oven on. Have tried several things without success:
banana cake - burnt on top, completely raw in middle. Sponge cake - 4th attempt is just about passable after picking up tips from your site.
Jacket potatoes - hard in middle & finished off in the microwave.
Was on the verge of adding the ho to landfill along with the ho cooking books but tried sausages last night. Took about 40 minutes to cook as I was desperate not to burn them. Must say we both thought they tasted better than we'd had them before and we eat a lot of sausages as we make our own.
This has given me encouragement to go on with the ho.
It's great that everyone is so helpful on the forum - I wish I'd joined before I bought all the ho cookery books (5 in total!).
Will do some more experimenting and am sure to back with some questions soon!!!
Hubby says I must keep a sense of humour about it all

A sense of humour is to be recommended when trying anything new. Have a good read when you get the time and hopefully you'll soon grow in confidence.

You know where we are if you need help.
