I would like to reheat a cooked frozen casserole. The manual says to always use the shelf but that would allow the gravy to slide through. Would it be ok to use it without the shelf?
Also, the manual doesn't mention reheating a frozen meal. What settings would I need to use?

You would need to put it back in the casserole dish and use the shelf. The heat comes from the top of the oven and can't circulate to the bottom without some air around the items to be cooked.
I would start off with using the thaw/wash setting for 10-15 minutes at a time until your casserole is defrosted. Then up the temperature to around 180-200C and stir often to heat through.
