Good old oven chips!

Post  Guest on 24.07.11 1:01

Oven chips, I think we all have a specific way of doing these. We found if you cook them on the steamer tray, top rack they turn out beautiful. Crispy outside and fluffy inside. 210 - 220 depending on thickness of chips.

We found they came out beautifully too if a little oil was brushed over them, don't use olive oil, we used veg oil, corn oil and I used Flora just to be different lol

You're welcome June. Sorry I've not been around as much as usual,
Had a few difficulties over the past week or so, I'll have a bit more time
now, so will aim to get back to normal now.

Yep, cooked from frozen straight into a preaheated HO.
I guess preheat for about 5 mins, done these with and without an extender too, need to lower the heat for first 5 - 7 mins if not using an extender or they'll burn.

Hi Dawn,

if they are chunky chips you can do that.

Otherwise place your chips on the baking tray.

Personally I prefer to use the baking tray for any types of chips.
