wheres the OOPS section........!!

Post  'cooked'funkybootz on 26.06.11 18:44

i've done some heating up (sausage rolls) some buns, and as i had two reciepe pamphlets i tried the roast chicken tonight....mm... put in for 20mins at 200, then flipped over and another 20,added me stuffing and as juices ran clear, another 20.....bit moist for me and seemed ok allway thru, then found a big juicy blood blob on breat bone...aarrgghhh-too late now i carved it. so now i know...add another 30 mins, altho for a small chicken, may as well use the oven...surely!

Hi, don't read your instruction leaflet. Check out the recipes on the forum.
A 1.5kg chicken takes 1hour 40 minutes in a 'big' oven but only an hour +/- 10 minutes in a HO. When stuffing you need to take the weight of the stuffing and the fact the air isn't circulating through the chicken into account as you would in any oven.
Hope this helps you.

I think your recipe pamphlet belongs to your "oops bin" Laughing

You will find tried and tested recipes for roast chicken in the AtoZ. Best to try one of those.

I think the leaflets issued with these things certainly arn't put together by those of us who use a HO and that's a fact lol!

I slung mine out lol, everything I post has been tried and tested by me and friends, bet we wouldn't have one that's been cooked in the time the leaflets say.

Yep stick it in the OOOps bin for sure.

Regards Caz
(who in her time has had many oops days lol)
