Introducing Myself

Post  Gilly on 31.03.11 7:27

G'day all,
I'm Gilly and have just received my first halogen oven.
I've just cooked a cake, have cooked some roast vegies and the best toast I've ever tried.
I'm truly in love Smile)

Hi I am a Newbie.

Post  Vonniecham on 30.04.11 15:31

Hi I recently purchased a HO, am impressed with some things, have yet to sort out the cake issue, having cooked a recipe three times from the handbook I received and everytime it comes out not cooked I think I may need to experiment more and perhaps get an extender ring. I have cooked fish, chicken a roast joint and am well impressed.

Hi Vonnicham and welcome Welcome

Reading previous posts as Reeta said is a good idea. In my opinion the extender ring is essential.

I'm glad you have found us.

Welcome Gabby

There is a certain amount of adjusting for your HO. Have a good read of some of the previous advice and recipes when you get time. They'll point you in the right direction.

Preheating, position in the oven, lower temperatures and longer cooking times all have a bearing on the finished results. You will find it worth it in the end.
